Helmeted bust of Virtus to right; VIRTVS upwards before, III VIR downwards behind / Consul Manius Aquillius standing facing, head to right, holding shield and raising slumped Sicilian by arm; ꟿ AQVIL upwards to right, ꟿ•F•ꟿ N downwards to left, SICIL in exergue. Crawford 401/1; BMCRR Rome 3366; RSC Aquillia 2. 3.96gr, 19mm, 5h. Very Fine. Old cabinet toning with hints of blue and golden iridescence around the devices. 'H' graffito on Virtus' helmet.
