PTOLEMAIC KINGS of EGYPT. Ptolemy II Philadelphos. 285-246 BC. Æ Tritartemorion (21mm, 6.36 g, 12h). Alexandreia mint. Series 3, circa late 260s–246 BC. Head of the deified Alexander right, wearing elephant skin headdress / Eagle with spread wings, standing left on thunderbolt; no control marks. CPE B206; Svoronos 416; SNG Copenhagen 159–60. Dark brown surfaces, light roughness, some weakness to strike on reverse. Near VF.
