SICILY. Syracuse. Agathocles (317-289 BC). AR tetradrachm (27mm, 16.56 gm, 10h). NGC Choice XF 5/5 - 2/5, smoothing. Ca. 310-306/305 BC. KOPAΣ, head of Kore-Persephone right, wreathed with grain, wearing single pendant earring and necklace; dotted border / AΓAΘOKΛEIOΣ, Nike standing facing, head right, hammer in lowered right hand, nail in raised left, about to attach helmet to trophy at right; triskeles in lower left field, dotted border. SNG ANS 679. HGC 2, 1536. Deep lilac toning with crisp detail.
