INDIA, Kushan Empire. Kanishka I. Circa AD 127-151. CU Tetradrachm (25mm, 15.98 g, 12h). Subsidiary mint in Gandhara (Peshawar?). Unlisted phase. Kanishka standing left, sacrificing over altar and holding standard / Miiro (Mithras) standing facing, head left, raising hand in benediction; other hand on sword; tamgha to left. MK 796; cf. ANS Kushan 632 (for obv.); cf. Donum Burns 185; CNG E-558, lot 273. Dark brown patina, roughness. VF. Very rare.
