| Lot description: Bellovaci, Statère "à l'astre", 50-20 BC, Gold, VF(30-35), Delestrée:268 Stylized profile to the right formed by a long pointy nose, with a large diamond-shaped eye with a central annulet, and a radiating star to the left. Below the nose, an S suggests the mouth. On the left, three oblique rows of oval shapes suggesting a laurel wreath., Horse leaping to the right with a star above and below., Part of the 'star' trimetallic group mainly associated with the Bellovaci tribe. The finds of these coins are centred around the sanctuary of Digeon (Morvillers-Saint-Saturnin, Somme), which lies to the south of the Ambiani territory and to the west of the Bellovaci one. The gold coins serie includes the varieties Dt. 265 to 278, which includes staters and quarter staters. Our example differs from the other varieties in the way that the beams of the stars have not been engraved to give an impression of movement (to the left or to the right). Dans la partie gauche, trois rangées obliques faites de formes ovales rappelant une couronne de lauriers., Cheval bondissant à droite avec au-dessus et au-dessous, un astre., Exemplaire faisant partie de l'ensemble trimétallique "à l'astre" attribué principalement à la tribu des Bellovaques. Les trouvailles de ces frappes sont centrées autour du sanctuaire de Digeon (Morvillers-Saint-Saturnin, Somme), se trouvant au sud du territoire des Ambiens et à l'ouest de celui des Bellovaques. La série des monnaies d'or regroupe les variétés Dt. 265 à 278, qui comprend des statères et des quarts de statères. Notre exemplaire se différencie par le fait que les rayons des astres n'ont pas été gravés de manière à donner l'impression de mouvement (vers la gauche ou la droite), comme on peut le retrouver sur les autres variétés.
