Lot description: JUDAEA, Hellenistic Period. Ptolemaic issues, circa 282-272 BC. 1/4 Obol or Ma'ah (Silver, 6 mm, 0.19 g, 10 h). Diademed head of Ptolemy I to right. Rev. 'YHD' (in Paleo-Hebrew) Head of Berenike I to right. Jeselsohn 203-205 (O4/R4). Rare. Beautifully toned and with a fine pedigree. The obverse struck somewhat off center, otherwise, good very fine.
