Dinar (Gold, 21 mm, 7.92 g, 12 h), uncertain mint in Baktria, probably Balkh. þAONANOþA KANηþKO KOþANO ('King of Kings, Kanishka the Kushan' in Baktrian) Kanishka I standing front, head to left, sacrificing with his right hand over altar and holding trident in his left. Rev. MAO (in Bactrian) The moon deity Mao standing front, head to left, raising his right hand in salute and holding transverse scepter surmounted by inverted crescent; to left, tamgha.
