Lot description: THESSALY. Larissa. Circa 440-400 BC. Obol (Silver, 8 mm, 0.74 g, 9 h). Horse advancing to right; above, head of a lion to right. Rev. Λ-A-PI The nymph Larissa standing to right, balancing hydria with both hands on her raised knee; in field to left, fountain in the form of a lion's head spouting water; all within shallow incuse square. BCD Thessaly II 358.1. HGC 4, 482. Toned. Some minor roughness, otherwise, very fine.
