EASTERN EUROPE. Imitating Alexander III "the great". Circa 250 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 27.5 mm, 14.39 g, 9 h). Head of Herakles to right, wearing lion's skin headdress. Rev. Zeus Aëtophoros holding eagle and sceptre and seated to left; M to left field and below throne. Cf. Price B35. Cf. Lanz 875-877. Toned. Some roughness, otherwise, nearly very fine.

THRACE. Lysimacheia. Circa 309-220 BC. (Bronze, 23 mm, 10.70 g, 12 h). Head of Herakles to right, wearing a lion-skin headdress, countermark with head of lion to left. Rev. Demeter standing to right, holding a long torch, countermark with a dolphin to right. SNG Copenhagen 903-4 (with countermark). Very rare and with interesting lion and dolphin countermarks. Good fine.
