Roman Imperial Volusian (251-253), Antoninianus 251-253, Rome mint Obverse: radiate, draped cuirassed bust right IMP CAE C VIB VOLVSIANO AVG Reverse: Concordia seated left, holding patera and double cornucopiae CONCORDIA AVGG Diameter 21 mm, weight 3.56 g Volusian was in his early twenties when Trebonianus Gallus, his father, became emperor. Shortly thereafter Volusian was made emperor as well. Before he could make much of a mark on history he as well as his father were killed by his own soldiers just prior to the battle against the forces of Aemilian.
