Two hoplites, holding shields, on galley left; below, hippocamp left / Griffin seated right, raising forepaw. Cf. E&E-B Group V.1 (griffin seated left); HGC 10, –. Toned, some roughness on obverse, slightly off center on reverse. Good VF. Extremely rare, unpublished variety.

Galley with three hoplites left; below, hippocamp left / Vulture standing left on incuse ram lying left, head right. E&E-B Group III.1, 102 (O1/R1 – this coin, illustrated); Betlyon 5; Rouvier 630; HGC 10, 126. Lightly toned, minor granularity, a few light scuffs on obverse, a few small bumps on edge. Near EF. An exceptional example of this very rare issue with all details clear.
