The Triumvirs. Mark Antony and Julius Caesar. Autumn 43 BC. Fourée Denarius (17.5mm, 2.50 g, 6h). Imitating an official issue of the military mint traveling with Antony in Cisalpine Gaul. Bare head of Antony right; lituus to left / Laureate head of Caesar right; capis to left. Cf. Crawford 488/1 (all references for official issue); cf. CRI 118; cf. Sydenham 1165; cf. RSC 2; cf. RBW 1708. Toned, breaks in plating revealing core. VF.

Laureate head of Jupiter right; C below chin / Victory standing right, crowning trophy; at base of trophy, bound captive seated left; carnyx to right; Q (mark of value) in exergue. Cf. Crawford 332/1c (all references for official issue); cf. Sydenham 586b; cf. King 35; cf. Cloulia 2b; cf. RBW –. Toned, breaks in plating. VF. A very well executed fourée of a scarce issue.
