Head of Mên right, wearing Phrygian cap / Dionysos standing left, holding grape bunch and thyrsos; to left, panther standing left, head facing, raising forepaw; [monogram to right]. Frolova & Ireland p. 20; Anokhin 1206; MacDonald 178; HGC 7, 10. Dark green patina, flan preparation marks, rotated double strike, some scratches. VF.

Brown surfaces, flan preparation marks, flan flaws, overstruck on Pontic issue of Helmeted head of Athena / Perseus standing type (cf. SCADA Group 11, obv. die A65; Kovacs 76.3; M&D 31; CAA –; AC 36. Lightly toned, flan crack, minor doubling on reverse. Good VF.

Old collection tone, cleaning scratches under tone on obverse, slight roughness on reverse, scratches and scuffs on edge. VF.
