Truly a remarkable piece, not only as a rare variety, but for the clear full signature of the ancient owner of the coin. It is not clear whether such inscriptions on coins served only to indicate ownership or if they might have sometimes had a dedicatory purpose. After all, if one is going to make a dedication of silver to the gods, it does not hurt to take extra care to be sure that they know precisely who made it.
