Valens, 364-378. Solidus (Gold, 21.5 mm, 4.54 g, 5 h), Antioch Γ = 3rd officina, 373-374. D N VALENS PER F AVG Pearl-diademed, draped and cuirassed bust of Valens to right. Rev. GLORIA R-O-MANORVM /KANOBΓ Roma, seated facing on left, and Constantinopolis, seated left on the right, supporting round shield inscribed VOT / X / MVLT / XX in four lines between them; above, Christogram. Depeyrot 41/2. RIC 16c var. (but this officina unlisted). Clear and attractive. Struck from a slightly rusty obverse die, otherwise, virtually as struck.
