The Jonathan H. Kagan Collection of Ancient Greek Coins

THRACO-MACEDONIAN TRIBES, Mygdones or Krestones. Circa 490-485 BC. Stater (Silver, 22 mm, 9.34 g). Goat kneeling right, head turned back to left; above; pellet within circle of pellets. Rev. Quadripartite incuse square. AMNG III/2 p.18, 4 and pl. V, 24 (Aigai). Asyut 150-151 (Aegae). Gulbenkian 390. HPM, pl. III, 17 Lorber, Goats 6. From the same dies as LHS 102, 2008, 119 and Triton XXIV, 2021, 436. Well struck and attractively toned. Somewhat porous, otherwise, nearly extremely fine.
