Lot description: LYDIA, Gordus-Julia. Elagabalus. AD 218-222. Æ (34mm, 23.21 g, 6h). Aurelius Julianus II, grandson of Artemas, first archon for the second time. Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right, seen from behind; c/m: Zeus seated left, holding patera and scepter within round incuse / Mên standing facing, head left, wearing Phrygian cap and crescent on shoulders, holding patera and spear. Hochard 529 (D44/R69); Kurth 91; RPC VI Online 4417. For c/m: Howgego 271. Yellow-brown surfaces, some find patina, porosity, cleaning scratches. Near VF. Extremely rare.
