Lot description: Thrace, kings of, Lysimachos. (305-281 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.85 g), Lampsakos Mint, struck 297/6-282/1 B.C., obv. Diademed head of the deified Alexander right, with horn of Ammon, rev. Athena Nikephoros seated left, left arm resting on shield, spear behind, to inner left, monogram above star, to right BASILEWS, to left LUSIMAXOU, (S.6814, Thompson 61, M.-, HGC 3.2 1750b). Good very fine, well centred, two minor edge cuts, lightly toned and very rare. Ex Ponterio & Associates, San Diego, Auction Sale 136, November 1, 2005 (lot 1731).
