Draped bust of Athena facing three-quarters to right, wearing triple-crested Attic helmet; on her left shoulder, shield. Rev. ՒHPA-KΛEIΩN Trophy. HN Italy 1436. Naples, Santangelo 3794. Van Keuren 142. Attractive dark brown coloration and exceptional for issue. Nearly extremely fine. This attractive bronze coinage from Herakleia was sometimes issued with a mintmark.
