Lot description: Ancients Vitellius (16 April-22 December AD 69). AE sestertius (36mm, 29.04 gm, 6h). NGC Choice AU 5/5 - 3/5. Fine Style, smoothing. A VITELLIVS GERM•IMP AVG P M TR P, laureate head of Vitellius right / PAX-AVGVSTI, Pax standing facing, head left, with branch in outstretched right hand, cornucopia cradled in left arm; S-C across fields. RIC I 157 for type, pl. 32, 169 (same obverse die). Bold, Fine Style, high-relief dies perfectly centered on a flan accentuated with a mélange of earth tones.
