INDIA. Gupta Empire. Chandragupta II Vikramaditya (ca. AD 380-413). AV dinar (19mm, 7.54 gm, 12h). MS, edge cut, scuff. Chhatra type. Kshitimavajitya sucharitairdiavam jayati Vikramadityah (Brahmi), Chandragupta II (on left) standing facing on dotted ground line, head left, wearing curly hair, tight-fitting Kushana style clothing, necklace, and jeweled armbands, left hand resting on sword hilt on belt, offering oblations with right hand over lit altar at left; smaller figure (on right) standing facing, left leg bent upward, holding a chhatra (parasol) in both hands shading the king / Sri Vikramah (Brahmi), Lakshmi advancing left, nimbate, pasha in right hand, lotus in left; tamgha to left, dotted border.
