INDIA. Kushan Empire. Vasudeva II (ca. AD 267-300). AV dinar (23mm, 7.87 gm, 12h). Choice XF. Kushan standard, Mathura/Gandhara, main mint. Kushan standard, Mathura/Gandhara, main mint. ÞAONANOÞAO BA-ZOΔHO KOÞANO, Vasudeva II standing facing, nimbate head left, wearing diadem with ribbons to right, conical jeweled hat with earflap, jeweled partially open kaftan with long loosely fitting sleeves and sharply arched hemline, and bracelets, over trousers and boots, dropping pellets with right hand over lit altar to left, grounded filleted staff with double knot finials in left; filleted trident to left of altar, Rda (Brahmi) in right field, Rju to right of altar, Gho between feet, Tra(?) (Kharoshti) beside foot to right / OHÞO, Oesho (Siva or Shiva) standing facing, with one nimbate head, hair in topknot, curls continuing downwards over shoulders, wearing ankle length dhoti with symmetrical folds, diadem in extended right hand, trident with bent shaft in raised left hand, leaning against bull standing left.
