| Lot description: About Mint State; a remarkable bronze, boasting great detail and a wonderful brown patina | ROMAN EMPIRE. Hadrian. Bronze sestertius, AD 121-123. Rome. Obv: IMP CAESAR TRAIAN HADRIANVS AVG, laureate and cuirassed bust right, slight drapery on shoulder. Rev: P M TR P COS III, Ceres standing left, holding corn-ears and long torch; S-C across fields. About Mint State; a remarkable bronze, boasting great detail and a wonderful brown patina. Reference: RIC II.3-660; BMCRE-1244. Rarity: Rare with this bust type; undoubtedly among the finest to come to auction. Provenance: from the Euclidean Collection; acquired from DRG Coins & Antiquities, December 2017; ex Frederick S. Clark Collection, accompanied by letter from S. A.
