JUDAEA, Herodians. Herod I (the Great). 40-4 BCE. Æ Two Prutot (18mm, 3.26 g, 12h). Mint in Samaria (Sebaste?). Dated RY 3 (38/7 BCE). Poppy on stalk / Winged caduceus, no date or monogram. A&F Type 3, dies O3/R2; Meshorer 46a; Hendin 6206a; RPC I 4903; HGC 10, 653. Dark green surfaces with earthen highlights, scrape on reverse. VF. Rare variety without date or monogram.
