Lot description: SELEUKID KINGS. Antiochos VIII Epiphanes (Grypos), 121/0-97/6 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 27.00 mm, 16.42 g). Damascus, third period of coinage, 103/2 BC. (S.E. 210). Diademed head of Antiochos VIII to right; around, fillet border. Rev. ΒAΣΙΛEΩΣ ΑNTIOXOY EΠIΦANOYΣ Zeus seated to left on throne, holding Nike in his right hand and scepter in his left; in left field, two monograms; below throne, monogram; in exergue, IΣ (date, S.E. 210); all within laurel wreath.
