KINGS OF MACEDON. Alexander III 'the Great', 336-323 BC. Drachm (Silver, 16.34 mm, 4.20 g). Lampsakos, struck under Kalas or Demarchos, circa 328-323 BC. Issue in the name and types of Alexander III of Macedon. Head of Herakles to right, wearing lion's skin headdress. Rev. AΛEΞANΔPO[Y] Zeus seated left on throne, holding eagle with closed wings in his extended right hand and scepter in his left; below throne, monogram; in left field, Demeter standing facing, holding two torches.
