KINGS OF MACEDON. Alexander III 'the Great', 336-323 BC. Drachm (Silver, 17.75 mm, 4.25 g). Magnesia ad Maeandrum, struck under Antigonos I Monopthalmos, circa 319-305 BC. Issue in the name and types of Alexander III of Macedon. Head of Herakles to right, wearing lion's skin headdress. Rev. ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟ[Υ] Zeus seated left on throne, holding eagle with closed wings in his extended right hand and scepter in his left; below throne, monogram of AT; in left field, torch with fillets.
