Early posthumous issue, Babylon mint, struck under Peithon, satrap of Babylonia, circa 315-311 BC, in the name and types of Alexander III the Great (336-323 BC). Head of Herakles right wearing lion skin headdress. Rev. ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ vertical to right, BΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ in exergue. Zeus Aetophoros seated left on throne, holding eagle on the right hand and scepter in the left hand, monogram XA to left, monogram within wreath below throne. Price 3726. Müller 728.
