Alexius I Comnenus. 1081-1118. Æ ½ Tetarteron (13.5mm, 1.76 g, 6h). Thessalonica mint. Struck circa 1092-circa 1118. Half-length facing bust of the Theotokos / Crowned half-length facing bust of Alexius, wearing jeweled chlamys, holding labarum and globus cruciger. DOC 44; SB 1934. Dark brown and green patina, slight roughness. VF.
