Divus Augustus, died AD 14. As (Copper, 30 mm, 10.76 g, 7 h), Rome, struck under Tiberius, circa 22/3-30. DIVVS AVGVSTVS PATER Radiate head of Divus Augustus to left. Rev. S - C / PROVIDENT Square altar with two doors and two horns on top. BMC 146. Cohen 228. RIC 81. An attractive piece with a lovely portrait. Slightly rough and the reverse a bit weak, otherwise, very fine.
