| Lot description: KINGS OF THRACE. Lysimachos, 305-281 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 28 mm, 16.99 g, 2 h), in the types of Alexander, Kolophon, circa 301/0-299. Head of Herakles to right, wearing lion skin headdress. Rev. ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ - ΛΥΣΙΜΑΧΟY Zeus seated left on low throne, holding long scepter in his left hand and eagle standing right with closed wings in his right; to left, forepart of a lion to left above crescent to left; below throne, pentagram. Müller 19. Price L23. Thompson 123. A lovely coin of fine style with beautiful old collection toning. Minor marks and with very light doubling on the reverse, otherwise, nearly extremely fine.
