Good Very Fine; later overstruck at Nicomedia in the fourth century with draped and cuirassed bust on obv. and 'SMN' in exergue on rev. Very Rare.

ΑΥΤ Κ Μ ΑΝΤ ΓΟΡΔΙΑΝΟC ΑΥΓ Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Gordian III to right. Rev. ΥΠ CΑΒ ΜΟΔЄCΤΟΥ ΝΙΚΟΠΟΛЄΙΤΩΝ ΠΡΟC ΙCΤ Hermes standing facing, head to left, holding purse in his right hand and caduceus in his left. AMNG 2058. BMC 80. RPC VII.2 1277. SNG München 479. Well-centered and with an attractive gold-brown patina. Minor roughness, otherwise, good very fine.
