COELESYRIA, Damascus. temp. Cleopatra VII of Egypt. Circa 37-33/1 BC. Æ (14mm, 2.26 g, 12h). Dated CY 283 (30/29 BC). Turreted head of Tyche right / Eagle standing right with wings gathered; L ΓΠ/Σ (date) to right; all within wreath. RPC I 4785; DCA 499; HGC 9, 1465. Red-brown surfaces, tooled and smoothed. VF. Very rare.
