The introduction of IMP XIX reverse types for Vespasian suggested that IMP should be eliminated from his current legend, IMP CAESAR VESPASIANVS AVG / COS VIII; but on our coin an old obverse die still bearing IMP was apparently mistakenly coupled with one of the new IMP XIX reverse types.
