Ex Curtis L. Clay Collection. Probably commemorates Hadrian's return to Rome from his second great tour c. 133 AD. Considerably rarer with reverse legend ADVENTVS AVGVSTI rather than just ADVENTVS AVG.. VF

The wheat ear added to a Fortuna Redux type, a rare variety that occurs only on denarii, was probably meant to indicate that Rome's wheat supply was assured now that the emperor had returned to Rome..
