Mildenberg-75 (O12/R58); Meshorer-267; Hendin-1411. Obverse: Facade of the Temple at Jerusalem; showbread table within, star above; Reverse: Bundle of lulav; etrog to left. Fairly well centered, this impressive example presents a deeper gray tone and excellent overall detail remaining. An ever-popular and desirable type.

Mildenberg-86 (O21/R166); Meshorer-277; Hendin-6458. Obverse: Grape bunch on vine tendril; Reverse: Two upright trumpets. Great quality for the type, this barely handled example presents vibrant luster and a largely untoned nature throughout.

Meshorer 267. Mildenberg 77. The usual traces of overstriking, otherwise, good very fine.


From the James Knox Collection of Biblical related coins, formed since summer 1991.

This coin was overstruck on an Antioch tetradrachm of Nero (cf. RPC I 4188). Traces of the legend and devices are visible on the obverse and reverse.
