HGC-1, 802; Vlasto-599; HN Italy-936. Obverse: Warrior, holding shield and two spears, preparing to cast a third, on horseback rearing right; Reverse: Phalanthos, holding Nike, shield, and spear, riding dolphin left; ΦI below. Presenting a highly impressive obverse, this example displays a warrior and horse in great relief. In particular, the body of the warrior is expertly rendered and struck, with tremendous care given to the muscles in his torso.
