TETRICUS I, AD 271-274. Aureus, Cologne ("Mint II"), 271. AV 4.44 g. IMP C G P ESV TETRICVS AVG Laureate, cuirassed bust l. Rev. VICTORIA . GERM Tetricus, wearing military costume, standing l., holding globe on his outstretched r. hand, long sceptre with his l. hand; he is crowned by Victory standing behind him, holding palm-branch in her l. hand. To left of Tetricus, at his feet, captive seated l., hands bound in the back. Schulte 147, 2var. (different obv.­bust; obv. die 3 / new die combination); Sondermann 167, 1.2 (this specimen).
