ANTONINUS PIUS, AD 138-161. Sestertius, about 145-161. AE 27.37 g. ANTONINVS AVG - PIVS PP TR P Laureate head r. Rev. C - OS - II - II / S - C Salus, wearing long dress and cloak, standing facing, head turned l., holding large rudder on globe with her l. hand, feeding out of patera in her outstretched r. hand snake coiled round altar. BMC 268, 1658; C. 282; RIC 123, 761.

Scarce. Beautiful dark olive patina. Light smoothing in the rev. field. Good extremely fine
