NERO, AD 54-68. Sestertius, about 64-65. AE 26.74 g. NERO CLAVDIVS CAESAR AVG GER PM TR P IMP PP Laureate head l. Rev. S - C Triumphal arch showing the front with a garland; on top, emperor standing in a facing quadriga, flanked by Victoria and Pax; in a niche on the l. side, statue of Mars, facing, holding spear and shield. BMC 235, 188; BN II, 150, 287var. (head r.); C. 306; RIC² 161, 146.

Scarce. Well struck, showing all the details. Dark green patina. Extremely fine
