Laureate bust right, drapery on shoulders / Trajan, holding branch and eagle-tipped scepter with his left hand, reins with right, driving quadriga right; L IB (date) above. Köln 497 var. (bust); Dattari (Savio) 473 & 475; K&G 27.188; RPC III 4294.3 corr. (bust); Emmett 459.12. Dark red-brown patina with earthen green deposits, roughness, flan split. Near VF. Very rare bust type.
