CILICIA, Tarsus. Gordian III. AD 238-244. Æ (32mm, 12.99 g, 1h). Struck AD 238. Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right, seen from behind / River-god Cydnus reclining left, holding cornucopia and resting elbow in urn from which water flows. RPC VII.2 3015; SNG BN –; SNG Levante Supp. 281. Red-brown surfaces, roughness. Good Fine. Very rare, only three known to RPC.
