INDIA. Kushan Empire. Vasudeva II (ca. AD 267-300). AV dinar (21mm, 7.85 gm, 12h). VF. Kushan standard, Mathura/Gandhara, main mint. ÞAONANOÞAO BA-ZOΔHO KOÞANO, Vasudeva II standing facing, nimbate head left, wearing diadem with ribbons to right, conical jeweled hat with earflap, jeweled partially open kaftan with long loosely fitting sleeves and sharply arched hemline, and bracelets, over trousers and boots, dropping pellets with right hand over lit altar to left, grounded filleted staff with double knot finials in left; filleted trident to left, bha (Brahmi) between altar and left leg, gha under left arm, VaSu to right / Illegible Bactrian legend, Ardoxsho seated facing on high-backed throne with ornate legs, wearing halo, hair in ringlets to shoulders, ankle-length robe, and scarf draped from right arm over left knee, filleted investiture garland in right hand, cornucopia in left; tamgha to left above, dotted border.
