FL IVL CONSTANTIVS NOB C Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Constantius II to right. Rev. PROVIDEN-TIAE CAESS / CONS• Campgate with two turrets and no doors; above, star; in field to left, S. RIC -. Extremely rare. Slightly smoothed and with minor areas of weakness, otherwise, very fine. From the collection of Dr. L. Ramskold, formed since 1969. The 'CONS•' coins for the Caesars are exceedingly rare. Only five examples have been recorded for Constantine Caesar and seven for Constantius Caesar. Starting price: 25 CHF |
