Caracalla, 198-217. Antoninianus (Silver, 29 mm, 4.67 g, 1 h), Rome, 215. ANTONINVS PIVS AVG GERM Radiate, draped and cuirassed bust of Caracalla to right, with both pteryges visible, raising his left shoulder. Rev. P M TR P XVIII COS IIII P P Jupiter seated left, holding Victory in his right hand and long scepter in his left; at feet to left, eagle standing left, head to right. BMC 117. Cohen 277. RIC 260b. Nicely centered on a very broad flan. The reverse a bit weak, otherwise, extremely fine.
