Elagabalus, 218-222. Denarius (Silver, 19 mm, 3.01 g, 7 h), Rome, 221. IMP ANTONINVS PIVS AVG Laureate and draped bust of Elagabalus to right, seen from behind. Rev. P M TR P IIII COS III P P Providentia standing front, head to left, holding wand over globe in her right hand and cornucopiae in her left; in field to left, eight-pointed star. BMC 249. Cohen 189. RIC 42. Thirion 196. Nicely toned and very well centered. Struck from slightly worn dies, otherwise, extremely fine.
