Contemporary imitation of City Commemorative Æ 13mm. Imitating uncertain mint, circa AD 330. CONSTAN[TINOPOLIS?], helmeted bust of Constantinopolis to left, wearing imperial mantle and holding sceptre / Victory standing to left on prow, holding sceptre and shield; [...] in exergue. Cf. RIC VII 554 (Treveri) var. (mintmark) for possible prototype. 1.30g, 13mm, 6h.

Near Extremely Fine.

Ex Nether Compton Hoard.

This hoard was discovered by Mike Pittard while metal detecting near Nether Compton, Dorset on 19th February 1989. It comprised of 22,670 largely Constantinian coins and was deposited with the Yeovil Museum until 1994, after which it was returned to the finder and sold.
