His laureate and cuirassed bust right; L SEPT SEV PERT AVG IMP VIII / Septimius Severus on horseback right, raising hand in salutation; before, a soldier advancing right, looking left, leading the emperor's horse; ADVENTVI AVG FELICI-SSIM-O S C. RIC IV.1 719b. Very Fine; attractive brown patina; 19th-century smoothing/tooling on both obverse and reverse.
