C. Norbanus, 83 BC. Denarius (Silver, 19 mm, 3.78 g, 9 h), Rome. C•NORBANVS / XIII Diademed head of Venus to right, wearing necklace and pendant earring. Rev. Prow, fasces bound with an axe, caduceus and ear of wheat. Babelon (Norbana) 1. Crawford 357/1a. RBW 1362 var. (differing control mark). Sydenham 740. A well centered example. Light scratches on the obverse and with a minor flan fault on the reverse, otherwise, very fine.
