Kingdom of Macedon, Philip III Arrhidaios AR Drachm. Struck under Menander or Kleitos, in the name and types of Alexander III. 'Kolophon', circa 323-319 BC. Head of Herakles to right, wearing lion skin headdress / Zeus Aëtophoros seated to left, holding sceptre; AΛEΞANΔPOY to right, spearhead in outer right field, barley grain below throne. Near Very Fine; well-centred on the flan. Very Rare; only five examples cited by PELLA.
